Make the 2nd Saturday’s Square Dance Night!

The goal of the Fern Bluff Squares is simple: to have fun with friends on an ongoing basis. We just happen to use Square Dancing as ‘something to do’ with those friends (that never gets old). Everything about the club is designed in support of that goal.

We dance on a regular basis: The second Saturday from 7:30 – 10:00 PM. However, we take the months of June thru August off (too hot, summer club activities and festival/workshops). Typically, we skip holidays because frankly, people would rather be doing holiday things on holidays, but if there is enough interest, we could change that on a case-by-case basis. To sum it up, we dance from the second Saturday in September, until the 2nd Saturday in May. See our dance calendar.

We dance at the South Lake Stevens Grange, 2109 103rd Ave SE, Lake Stevens.

Our caller is Robert (Natalie) Sax and our round dance cuer is Bob and Linda Berka. On occasions we may have a different caller or cuer just to mix it up a bit.

Every year, starting the in September and January we offer square dance lessons on Wednesdays at the Monroe Community Center, 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Lessons take about 31/2 months to complete. When lessons are over we take time to dance, and perhaps a workshop on particular things (e.g. dance by definition etc) if there is interest.
